While eXtrac’s personnel constantly monitor the market and evaluation many Iridium tracking devices, eXtrac currently recommend the following devices:

NAL SHOUT nano  

The SHOUT nano is a pocket sized, handheld two way outdoor satellite messaging and GPS device for emergency/rescue, text messaging applications and location based services. It utilizes Iridium Short Burst Data messaging service to provide position reporting, two way texting and support alert notifications. A 911 button provides immediate emergency/alert notification. Data are packaged can be 256 bit AES encrypted.

Shout Touch screen (ts)

The SHOUT ts is the latest in the SHOUT range and shares the SHOUT nano’s pocket sized  design.  The ts is designed with ultra-low power consumption electronics. With an internal 1.95 A-Hr rechargeable Li-Ion battery, it can send a position report every hour for up to two months (about 1,500 reports). The ts is equipped with a high resolution colour touchscreen supporting transmission of free-text, canned messages and a combination of free-text and canned messages.   

Trig

The TRIG device is similar in size to a BlackBerry or iPhone and weighs under 250g. The device can be a handheld personnel tracker or may be fitted to vehicles, ships, moorings, containers – anything that needs to be tracked, with confidence, in near real time: the device is waterproof to IP68 and features a strong aluminum base for ruggedness.  The device operates in a number of modes depending on the threat situation.  The control panel on the device simply consists of an on/off button, alert button and status LED with a fully charged battery supports up to 1300 reports. 

YellowBrick

The Yellowbrick is a truly global communication and tracking system. It is a lightweight, rugged handheld device which uses the Iridium satellite network to transmit your messages, and your location, from anywhere in the World.  The device will allow you to automatically report your position at a preset interval time and you can choose from hundreds of preset messages to send to mobiles and email addresses from wherever you are.
