eXtrac provides services to a number of private security companies. These services include tracking, two way messaging and e mail alerting, all provided with a truly global coverage.
Customers using a variety of eXtrac products, are globally tracked through a combination of Iridium and GSM, providing operations staff with an up to the minute picture of their asset’s position and movement. This allows operations staff to provide timely and tactically relevant advice to their “troops on the ground”.
Added to eXtrac’s global tracking solution, many customers also incorporate messaging functionality into their operations package. The facility allows individual assets to be send text messages from any e mail capable device; moreover, assets can then reply to any e mail address.
In addition to routine messaging, eXtrac’s management software will send out a high priority e mail message when it receives a distress message from any eXtrac device to any e mail address such as a group operations “SOS” e mail account.
The overall situational awareness gained from knowing the worldwide disposition and the ability to communicate in a timely fashion to all assets wherever they may, provides operations teams with an overwhelming advantage when dealing with the unforeseen circumstances in a high threat environment.
