What do you do when you have more than one valuable asset that you want to keep track of for safety and security reasons?

The answer is to employ a multi-functional tracking system capable of monitoring a range of assets in a simple and easy to use way.

What is an asset?

Anything that you care about is the simple answer, be that a person, vessel, aircraft, vehicle or anything you don’t want to loose. In this example eXtrac will show how our service can be used flexibly in order support the needs of a specific customer, but equally the same capability can be used in any environment for any application.

For example, the captain of a yacht has the responsibility for the safety and welfare of all the persons on board, the yachts ancillary vehicles and the vessel itself. In the case of a super yacht there is usually more than one vehicle to worry about and any number of people undertaking a range of activities. The captain of a Yacht is therefore responsible for the yacht, its tenders, personal watercraft, helicopters, shore vehicles and most important of all the passengers and crew.

eXtrac are able to offer a tailored asset tracking solution that links to the existing Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) on the bridge. eXtrac will provide an overlay on the ECDIS system showing where all of the yacht’s valuable assets are at any one time, and more importantly provide an alert function to indicate if any of them are in any form of distress.
